Two Men Face Charges Regarding Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Assault
Two individuals are now facing charges following a luggage theft where a suspected capsaicin spray led to people being hurt at the major London air hub.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and two counts of administering a noxious substance, authorities have stated.
This legal action stems from an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Before the assault occurred, two women were robbed of their luggage stolen after exiting a car park lift, according to law enforcement.
A toddler was one of the people hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were eventually allowed to go home.
This event – described by police as was isolated and not being treated as terrorism – caused train delays and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
