David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Best-selling young adult author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
A representative for the company stated: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was made after an investigation into allegations of questionable actions involving women.
The firm declined to specify the reasons for its decision, noting: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold over six tens of millions of copies internationally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books altogether, encompassing a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
From Screen to Page
His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
