The Canadian skeleton team have been absolved of accusations that they rigged a qualifying event for the Winter Olympics, which allegedly denied competitors from other nations a chance to qualify.

US skeleton veteran Katie Uhlaender alleged the team from Canada of withdrawing four of its six entered athletes from a recent event in New York. “The current IBSF Rules permit member nations to withdraw athletes from competition at any time,” declared the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation (IBSF).
